MRI Replacement – MR-4

The University of Virginia commissioned FPW to design and provide construction period services for renovations to an existing MRI lab in Medical Research Building #4 (MR-4) to provide for the installation of a new magnet. Working closely with the research team, the magnet and shielding vendors, and University Facilities staff, the FPW team developed a strategy for the sequential partial demolition, space reparation, delivery/installation and final enclosure for the new magnet.
